Love Is All We Need...and a deal too?
I found this site after having a dream. I dreamt of searching "A&R Email" on the net, looking for a record deal and within an hour I got an email saying "we'd like to sign you!" . I found the site, now all i need is the email!
I upload "Love Is All We Need" (below) because it's a track i'm most proud of and it shows off the best side of my "sad songs". I remember writing it in bed, pretty drunk after an argument with my girl..she'd stormed out and I wanted some kind of hope to cling to. I wanted some kind of grand production with it and it to sound different from what i'd attempted in the past, with more pushing sounds. The guitar sound is one i'd probably find hard to recreate again as I put it through a huge amount of pedals that get "that" sound. I was shocked by how much everyone liked it and got many emails asking who produced it and which studio did I use, when I had done it solo at home on my 8 track. I hope you like it as much as I had fun creating it.

and now the email?

Once you've been here a while you will realize what a joke this blog and its review policy are. Example: I first posted here a month ago, and now, for the first time, (despite good feedback from posters meantime) Indieboy decides to check out my stuff; only it's my uncommercial parodic stuff posted here for a joke since I long ago stopped taking this place seriously, not my better stuff that's been lingering ignored for a month. Who would bother to review the former, and more to the point, three samples of such in the course of an afternoon? All rejected of course - as one would expect since they were posted for a laugh. As I have said elsewhere, in my view A&R stands for Arbitrary and Random, since material can be reviewed as fast as within 24 hours, as belatedly as a month on, or possibly even never, as the FAQ clearly state that there is NO guaranteed minimum level of attention from Sony. And if they only have ONE active reviewer, then really that says it all - and I am inferring this from having only seen input from Indieboy on this site.
Still wanna go ahead? Well don't hold your breath is all I can say...
